FAQ
What happens on my first visit?
Your first visit will last 90 minutes and includes an initial assessment of your medical history and present concerns.
From your initial assessment, we will determine a treatment plan and goal specially tailored to your individual needs.
Your practitioner will perform Chinese pulse reading to check your energy (or "chi") levels and the functioning of your internal organs, which we believe is the basis for our overall well-being.
You will then receive an acupuncture treatment and, if necessary, herbal therapy to restore balance to problem areas established in the initial assessment and pulse reading. This starts the awakening of your own body's self-healing capacity.
Follow-up visits will last 40-50 minutes.
*For the Facial Rejuvenation package, all visits last 2 hours.
How can I prepare for my appointment?
Please dress in comfortable and loose-fitting clothes. You are welcome to bring a change of clothes and change just before your appointment.
Before your treatment, make sure to:
• Have a light meal 2-3 hours before, but avoid eating large, heavy meals
• Avoid caffeine or any stimulants that may interfere with your treatment
• Get enough sleep the night before your appointment
• Avoid dehydration and physical exertion
This ensures the best possible treatment and an overall positive and relaxing experience.
How many treatments do I need?
This depends on how severe your health complaints are.
For acute conditions, the body usually responds to the treatments quickly. For chronic conditions, it usually requires more time.
Your progression along your treatment plan will be discussed at the end of each appointment.
*For the Facial Rejuvenation Package, we recommend 10 treatment sessions, twice a week.
